Good News

Hey All!

I hope everyone had a splendid 7 days. I sure did. I was able to have a couple cool experiences.

Elder Filler and I got invited by our Muslim neighbors from Saudi Arabia to come over for dinner the other night and we sat in a traditional manner and had a Mediterranean feast. It was pretty cool and we made some good friends. They all admitted that our views made much more sense then other sects of Christianity.

We found a new family to teach as well and I love teaching families. Watching eyebrows raise when we bring up the beauty of the Plan of Salvation is just priceless and seeing teenagers show interest is priceless. Being on a mission is really hard and lonely at times but it's okay because it forces me to seek companionship from the Lord.

The transfer ended and GOOD NEWS. Elder Filler and I are staying together in Saginaw for another transfer. This will be a straight 18 weeks spent here. Crazy! It's still summer which is great. The thought of winter scares me but I'll survive.

Our Friend Evan who is 11 is getting Baptized on the 7th of September so we are hoping and praying all goes well there. I try my best to be a good, obedient missionary. I know great things will come.

Love,
  Elder Connolly
